Historically in
1670 the surrounding area became home to the first English settlers to
central Delaware. These early settlers were also attracted to the
richness and beauty of the area and referred to it as the Valley of the
Saint Jones River. Through our research, history shows that well
over three hundred years ago, before the English settlers arrived, the
Saint Jones River, which today is just a stone's throw east of this
tract of land, was known to the native Americans at that time as Wolf
Creek. Reviewing this upscale planned community of Wolf Creek, you will notice just how carefully the area is designed. First pass through a campus style setting of executive offices, which are not only architecturally designed to enhance the area, but also designed as a pleasing transition to the residential community. Next, the luxury carriage style twin homes located adjacent to the single family lots are situated on their own professionally maintained grounds, creating a carefree semi-private lifestyle for their residents. Finally, well isolated from the traffic of everyday life, you will come upon the large single family building lots situated in the well planned, beautiful setting which is--the heart of the Wolf Creek community. Reflecting today on what the early settlers may have seen years ago, the community now to be known as Wolf Creek will create a unique living experience by combining the natural beauty of the area with one of Dover's most convenient locations. |
